#ModaVoxBox Review
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara: LOVE the boost my lashes get from this mascara. The color is great and it doesn't run or flake off. I stood in the rain waiting to get into a beer festival and I didn't have raccoon eyes. #HappyCat
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick: I have to admit I am NOT a lipstick person. I usually stick with gloss or balm. And if I am going to use lipstick I am a picky pain in the butt about the shade, because the wrong shade makes me look like Casper's sister. The shade on this lipstick was actually a really nice neutral color that didn't make me look washed out. I liked that it made me look slightly "made up" without being too overdone for the office.
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner: The partner in crime to the lipstick. My last experience with lipliner was back in the 90's when it was cool to line your lips 900 shades darker than your actual lip color. I haven't touched the stuff since. This is a CLEAR lipliner. Which is just what i need because my hands shake so bad when I'm doing my makeup. It held my lipstick in place very nicely, and gave them an extra layer of moisture.
Puffs SoftPack: I'm already a pretty big fan of Puffs tissues (especially the ones with lotion!), I like the soft packaging because I think it's easier to fit it into tiny spaces. It also won't hurt anyone if I miss when I'm tossing them the package because I'm too lazy to get up. ;)
Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask: I LOVE this mask. My hair gets tangled really easily and is a pain in the ass to brush even when i get out of the shower and use a ton of conditioner. This mask smells awesome and makes detangling easy. It keeps my hair soft all day long.
Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa: I adore hot chocolate once the cold weather hits, so this sample was an absolute win for me. Rich chocolate taste, with only 5 ingredients. This cocoa is the perfect treat for a chilly night.
JERGENS Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer: I've been a Jergens fan for many years. This lotion works wonders on my dry hands and prevents the yucky cracked cuticles that I always get in the winter. I was so happy to get a sample of this in my box.
Resource Spring Water: I'm generally a subscriber of the belief that water is water (even though I drink bottled water all the time). I do think that each type of bottled water has a different taste and mouthfeel though. This water was very refreshing and was even better ice cold. It kept me feeling hydrated and cool.
I loved this box, and I can't wait for my next one! Til next time loves!

September ipsy Glam Bag Review
The September ipsy Glam Bag had all of its goodies wrapped up in a square of silver gorgeousness. I LOOOOOVE this little pouch. It's shiny and studded and I couldn't wait to open it up and see what was inside.
Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss: I was a little scared to try this gloss- the shade I received was Love Affair, and it is SUPER dark red in the tube. When I put it on, it gave my lips a nice hint of red color, kind of like the tint you get after eating a cherry ice pop. The gloss maid my lips feel really soft, and it was not sticky at all. This one was a win for me.
Nyx Hot Singles Eye Shadow: I loved my Nyx trio eyeshadow palette so I was really excited to see this single in my bag this month. The shade I got was Chandelier Lustre. It went on nice and smooth and gave my eyes just a hit of color and sparkle. Perfect for pairing with the Cailyn Lip Gloss!
Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duel Brush: I don't really use makeup brushes all that often unless I'm applying powder blush or loose pigment eyeshadow. I do like the way this brush feels. The bristles are SOFT, and they pick up a lot of color. My shadow applied smoothly and evenly when using this brush.
Pacifica Natural Water-proof Eye Pencil: Like the color on this one and it went on smooth without pulling at my skin. Also didn't bother my contacts, which is a major plus.
Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask: Detangled my hair nicely and made it feel silky, not greasy.
September bag gets a thumbs up from me! (Even though I suck at actually getting the posts about the up haha)

Tips for a #BikiniReadyLifstyle
I received a free sample of Bikini Ready Energy Gummies in my Influenster Vitality Vox Box. The gummies are meant to increase your metabolism and give you a boost of energy. This gave me a little bit of inspiration to share my tips for a #BikiniReadyLifestyle.
If you know me, you know that a few years ago I started a major weight loss journey. I weighed 210 lbs at 5'4". I dropped down to 147 at my lowest weight, which I am damn proud of. I've let a few (ok 12) pounds creep back on since I've been doing more working than working out, but I know if I follow my own advice, I'll get right back on track.
1) Drink lots of water. Not only is it awesome for your skin, but it makes you feel full. Our brains often get the signals for thirst and hunger mixed up. If you're feeling in a particularly snack-y mood, try drinking some water first. If you are still hungry, get a snack. If not you know you were just thirsty. I also like to flavor my water- usually with lemon or lime slices, or cinnamon sticks. Keeps it from getting boring.
2) Make time to exercise. Yes you won't always feel like it, but you will usually feel better just sucking it up and doing it rather than not. Also try to get up at work. Trust me sitting all day long sucks. This is my biggest offense that has led to me gaining some weight back.
3) Don't deprive yourself. If you're anything like me, telling yourself you can't have something just makes you want it about 8000 times more. So if you're really craving chocolate, have some. Don't pass on a piece of your grandma's famous apple pie because you're "on a diet." (Unless you have a medical reason to not be eating sugary stuff/carbs/whatever- then don't eat it lol). One piece will not kill you. It's more about understanding what you're putting into your body. And don't not eat all day just so you can have one slice of that pie. You'll wind up eating 4 because you're so damn hungry.
4) Don't beat yourself up for setbacks. It only leads to more. Don't make yourself feel crappy. Your human. It happens. Just get back on track.
5) Grab yourself a bottle of Bikini Ready Energy Gummies. These little things might just give you the boost you need to do everything I mentioned before. Plus they taste good! ;)
6) Enjoy the healthier you!

ipsy Glam Bag August Review
I was really happy with my Glam Bag for August. The bag itself is super cute and fits my makeup nicely. I love the orange polka dots! But I was even more excited to try what was inside.
Coastal Scents Forever Blush Sample Duo: I really like these blushes, which is saying a lot since I've been more of a cheek stain kinda gal lately. They give a nice hint of color and shimmer to my cheeks without being overwhelmingly bright.
Absolute Lip Balm: This balm was light, with a non greasy moisture to it. It had a grape scent/flavor. I'm normally not a fan of grape, because I usually feel like it's overdone to the point of tasting like cough syrup, but this was just a hint of grape. I also liked that it had some glitter in it. It was just enough to give my lips a bit of sparkle without being garish.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner: The first time I applied this product I got a little nervous because it felt almost greasy at first. I have really oily skin and I thought that greasy feel was going to be a problem, but as I rubbed it in and the product dried, it had a more powdery finish than anything else. While I don't think it really made my pores look any smaller, I do think it stopped my makeup from melting off my face.
Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Pencil: This pencil had a rich black color and glided nicely over my skin without pulling. I lined my inner lids as well and the color stayed put. No raccoon eyes!
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: This is the sample that I was by far the most excited to try. I love Urban Decay products, and I'm a huge fan of their Perversion Eyeliner. I missed out on the chance to get a sample direct from Urban Decay and I was pretty bummed about it. Needless to say I broke out into a mega happy dance when I unzipped my Glam Bag and this beaut was sitting inside. The color on this is INTENSE black. I tried it first with no other makeup on and the difference was crazy- it pumped up my lashes big time and made my eyes pop. Even the boyfriend noticed the difference. I will definitely be grabbing myself a full sized version.
Overall I was quite pleased this month. Keep it up, ipsy! Can't wait to see what's in my September bag. ;)

#VitaVoxBox Review!
Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I was super excited to be chosen for the #VitaVoxBox from Influenster and try out all the fun products. Check out what I thought about my samples below!
Pure Leaf Unsweetened Iced Tea: This tea was yummy when served ice cold. You get true tea flavor with no sweetener at all. I did add a little lemon to mine to give it a little boost. I'll definitely pick some up next time I go shopping.
First Degree Advanced Burn Cream: This soothing cream really helped heal up some scraping I had from falling over my own feet like a klutz. It stopped the scrape from itching and sped up my healing time. Thankfully I haven't burned myself (yet lol) since receiving the sample, so I didn't get to try it on a burn. But given the cooling sensation the cream has, I can imagine that it works wonders on minor burns.
Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum: This serum gave my skin a nice dewy glow without looking oily. It definitely felt nice to apply- almost like putting lotion on dry skin. After using it for a few days in a row, I could see a visible evening in my skin tone and texture.
Playtex Sport Fresh Balance: These tampons were very comfortable and easy to apply. No leaks, no odors and no complaints here. I'm happy with anything that makes having my period easier.
Softlips Cube: Let me start off this one by saying I loooooooooove lip balm. It's the one thing I can never have enough of besides shoes and purses lol. This little cube is packed with moisturizers- without being sticky or greasy. I love the minty scent and flavor too, it's nice and refreshing for the summer.
Bikini Ready Energy Gummies: I'm usually pretty skeptical about anything that claims to give me an energy boost as I'm pretty much immune to caffeine at this point. These did give me a nice little kick in the morning. They tasted pretty good too. I can't really comment on the metabolism boost claim, since I only got enough of a sample for one day. I'd love to try these for 30 days and see if they really make a difference in my workouts and weight loss goals.
I was definitely happy with this VoxBox, and I want to thank Influenster for choosing me! Here's to hoping I'll have another VoxBox to share with you all soon. :)

#VSSportBra #VSSportTester VoxBox from Influenster
DISCLAIMER: This is a sponsored blog post. Influenster provided me with complimentary Victoria's Secret products to test and review as part of a contest.
I was super excited that I was chosen for this VoxBox in particular, because I'm already a huge Victoria's Secret fan (ForeverAngel cardholder, baby!). I've been in the market for a new sport bra for a while, as I was not totally satisfied with my old one. Influenster provided me with an Incredible Sport Bra. Cue the #SportBraBreakup with my old bra!
I'll start off by saying I am a very awkward size. Both 32D and 32DD can fit me comfortably depending on the cut of the bra. My old sport bras only ran small, medium or large. I need a bra that can hold the girls in place while not pinching, chafing or creating that gross underboob sweat.
I tested out the Incredible Sport Bra during my workout yesterday. I'm not gonna lie, I sweat a lot. Especially after an hour on the elliptical, 45 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the bike. This bra did not chafe at all. It kept me nice and cool without irritating my skin. The wires are cushioned and have a barely there feel- no pinching or digging! The bra didn't ride up, slide or roll like my old one sometimes did. The fit was great- both the band and cup size are accurate. My only gripe is that it's a little hard to get on- it's a racerback with only the bottom band opening. I'm so used to hooking my bra closed in the front that it was kind of difficult for me to get it over my head, and then close the hook and eye strap. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about the bra- even the color is fun! It's definitely an upgrade from my old sport bra, which provided little to no support and trapped sweat against my skin, which has cause rashes in the past.
Since the bra fit great, I didn't have to head to Victoria's Secret to get a fitting, but I did stop buy to use my 25% off coupon that also came in the box. I snagged myself an Angel Sport Bra. I haven't tried that one out yet, but it's super soft and I think it's gonna be really comfy.
Also in my box was a tape measure so I can give myself an at home fitting, and some socks in pretty colors. The socks are nice! I'm not really a fan of socks and only wear them when I have to, but these fun colored ones from the VS Sport line are very light and breathable. All in all, I'm very happy with my first ever VoxBox and I'm grateful to Influenster and Victoria's Secret for giving me a chance to test out the products.

ipsy January Glam Bag Review
Hey guys!
After (finally!!) getting a job offer (yay!), I was able to re-start my ipsy subscription. The first bag I got after re-joining was the January bag.
I love the blue makeup case- it's the perfect size for fitting travel sized shampoos and such. Great for weekend getaways!
First product I tried out was benefit's The PORE-fessional. It's lightly tinted and silky without over-coloring or making skin feel greasy- really important for a pale, oily skinned girl like me! It minimized the appearance of the pores on my nose and chin pretty well. Not quite total coverage, but it definitely made them less noticeable.
I'm pretty happy with the bag this month. I'm just glad I have a big girl job now so I can keep myself in beauty products, yummy noms, and booze.
Later!
xoxo Kitty

It minimized the appearance of the pores on my nose and chin pretty well. Not quite total coverage, but it definitely made them less noticeable.
Next, Yaby foundation. I'm not really a foundation user- the more product I use, the more breakouts I have. The shade was a perfect match for my skin, and it wasn't greasy. Pretty good for a brand I'd never heard of before.
Next was the Balanced Guru Body Balm. I love that this product is organic and cruelty free! It's meant to balance out dry skin, so I used some on my hands. Winter has not been nice to them. The balm is soothing and smells AMAZING- very citrus-y and woodsy. It dries pretty quick too, so the "my hands feel way too slippery to do anything" feeling only lasts about a minute. I also love that you really only need to use a little bit. This size jar is going to last me a while. My only complaint is that it's a little tough to get it out of the container- I feel like my nails are digging into it, and it's a pet peeve of mine when product gets stuck under my nails. Minor irritation for such a great product though.
I love, love, LOVE this lip balm from (Malin + Goetz). The fact that they call it mojito lip balm is a bit misleading, I think, since I got no hint of mojito smell or flavor at all. But it makes my lips super silky and soft, so I'm not complaining. Perfect for putting on before bed to soothe lips overnight.
The last goodie in my bag were these pomegranate makeup cleansing cloths from Absolute. Not a huge fan of the scent but they work really well. One sheet is all I needed even when wearing a lot of makeup. The cloths are really moist and make my skin feel soft.
Later!
xoxo Kitty
